In World War II a French boatbuilder is desperately looking for his missing resistance son when his friend asks him to help a Jewish girl.
She needs to escape the Nazis who are hunting her to use her as bait to torture her father to extract information about a secret document her prominent lawyer mother was given for safe-keeping.
The trouble is that the only way to escape is to run the Gestapo gauntlet up the Garonne River, past the Nazis nest.
